विष्णुब्रह्मसुरेंद्रसेवितपदां तत्त्चस्वरुपां शिवां मीनाक्षीं प्रणतोऽस्मि संततमहं कारुण्यवारांनिधिम् ॥ १ ॥
ಉದಯಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಾವಿರ ಕೋಟಿ ಸೂರ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ತೇಜಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳ, ಕೇಯೂರಹಾರಗಳಿಂದ ಶೋಭಿಸುವ, ಬಿಂಬಫಲದಂತೆ ತುಟಿಯುಳ್ಳ, ಮುಗುಳ್ಳಗೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ದಂತಪಂಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಂದರಳೂ, ಪೀತಾಂಬರದಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕೃತಳೂ, ವಿಷ್ಣು-ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ-ದೇವೇಂದ್ರರಿಂದ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಚರಣವುಳ್ಳವಳೂ, ಸತ್ಯಸ್ವರೂಪಳೂ, ಶುಭಪ್ರದಳೂ, ಕಾರುಣ್ಯ ಸಮುದ್ರಳೂ ಆದ, ಆ ಮೀನಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸದಾ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I constantly bow to Meenakshi, effulgent with the luminosity that matches crores of rising suns, adorned with necklace and Keyura (arm ornament), with lips resembling the Bimba fruit (red coloured gourd), with bright and smiling teeth, wearing yellow silken robe, worshipped by Vishnu, Brahma, Indra and other gods, the embodiment of the essential Truth and the ocean of mercy.
सर्वाभीष्टफलप्रदां गिरिसुतां वाणीरमासेवितां मीनाक्षीं प्रणतोऽस्मि संततमहं कारुण्यवारांनिधिम् ॥ २ ॥
ಮುತ್ತಿನಹಾರದಿಂದ ಶೋಭಿಸುವ, ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುವ, ಪೂರ್ಣಚಂದ್ರನಿಗೆ ಸದೃಶವಾದ ಮುಖಕಾಂತಿಯುಳ್ಳ, ಜಣಜಣಗುಟ್ಟುವ ಕಾಲ್ಕಡಗಗಳ ಕಿರುಮಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿದ, ತಾವರೆಯ ಕಾಂತಿಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನಳಾದ, ಸರ್ವ ಕಾಮನೆಗಳನ್ಯೂ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿಕೊಡುವ, ಹಿಮಾಚಲಪುತ್ರಿಯೂ, ಸರಸ್ವತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿಯರಿಂದ ಸೇವಿತಳೂ, ಕಾರುಣ್ಯಜಲನಿಧಿಯೂ ಆದ, ಆ ಮೀನಾಕ್ಷಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಸದಾ ತಲೆಬಾಗುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I prostrate before that ocean of mercy – Meenakshi – beautified by the crown which gains its glow from the pearl necklace, with a face like the full-moon, with tinkling tiny bells in her anklets, gleaming with the rays from the red lotus, fulfiller of all wishes, the daughter of the mountains and who is worshipped both by Lakshmi and Saraswathi.
श्रीमत्षण्मुखविघ्नराजजननीं श्रीमञ्जगन्मोहिनीं मीनाक्षीं प्रणतोऽस्मि संततमहं कारुण्यवारांनिधिम् ॥ ३ ॥
ಶ್ರೀವಿದ್ಯಾಸ್ವರೂಪಿಣಿಯೂ, ಶಿವನ ಎಡಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರತಕ್ಕವಳೂ, ಶ್ರೀಂಕಾರಮಂತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಜ್ವಲ್ಯಮಾನಳೂ, ಶ್ರೀ ಚಕ್ರದ ಬಿಂದುಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವವಳೂ, ಚಿತ್ಸಭಾನಾಯಕಿಯೂ, ಮಹಾಮಹಿಮರಾದ ಷಣ್ಮುಖವಿನಾಯಕರ ಜನನಿಯೂ, ಜಗತ್ತನ್ನು ಮೋಹಗೊಳಿಸತಕ್ಕವಳೂ, ದಯಾಸಮುದ್ರಳೂ ಆದ ಮೀನಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ಸರ್ವದಾ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I ever bow to that ocean of mercy – Meenakshi – the embodiment of learning, occupying the left-side of Shiva, effulgent in the Hreenkara Mantra, residing at the centre of Sri Chakra, the Goddess of Chit-Sabha, the mother of Shanmukha and Vinayaka and the enchanter of the whole universe.
वीणावेणुमृदङ्गवाद्यरसिकां नानाविधाडम्बिकां मीनाक्षीं प्रणतोऽस्मि संततमहं कारुण्यवारांनिधिम् ॥ ४ ॥
ವಿಭೂತಿವಿಶಿಷ್ಟನಾದ ಸುಂದರನ (ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರನ) ಪತ್ನಿಯೂ, ಭಯವನ್ನು ಹೋಗಲಾಡಿಸುವವಳೂ, ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡುವವಳೂ, ನಿರ್ಮಲಳೂ, ಶ್ಯಾಮಲಾಂಗಿಯೂ, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮನಿಂದ ಪೂಜಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪಾದವುಳ್ಳವಳೂ, ನಾರಾಯಣನ ತಂಗಿಯೂ, ವೀಣೆ, ಕೊಳಲು, ಮೃದಂಗ ಮುಂತಾದ ವಾದ್ಯಗಳ ಸಮೂಹದಿಂದ ಸುಶೋಭಿತಳೂ, ದಯಾಸಾಗರಳೂ ಆದ ಮಿನಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I bow constantly to that ocean of mercy – Meenakshi – the consort of Sundara (Parameshwara), the expeller of all fears, bestower of knowledge, who is pure and dark-complexioned, whose feet are worshipped with lotus flowers, who is the sister of Narayana and who enjoys with all pomp and glory the musical instruments like veena, flute and mridanga.
नादब्रह्ममयीं परात्परतरां नानार्थतत्त्वात्मिकां मीनाक्षीं प्रणतोऽस्मि संततमहं कारुण्यवारांनिधिम् ॥ ५ ॥
ನಾನಾಯೋಗಿಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಮುನಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವವಳೂ, ನಾನಾ ಬಗೆಯ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸತಕ್ಕವಳೂ, ನಾನಾ ಪುಷ್ಪಗಳಿಂದ ಭೂಷಿತವಾದ ಪಾದದ್ವಯವುಳ್ಳವಳೂ, ನಾರಾಯಣನಿಂದ ಪೂಜಿತಳೂ, ನಾದಬ್ರಹ್ಮಸ್ವರೂಪಿಣಿಯ, ಉತ್ತಮೋತ್ತಮಳೂ, ನಾನಾತತ್ತ್ವ ಸ್ವರೂಪಳೂ, ದಯಾಸಮುದ್ರಳೂ ಆದ ಮೀನಾಕ್ಷಿಗೆ ಸದಾ ನಮಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I constantly bow to that ocean of mercy -- Meenakshi -- residing in the hearts of many sages, bestowing different types of Siddhis (attainments), whose feet are decked with a variety of flowers, who is worshipped by Narayana, who is reverberating with 'Nada Brahma' and who is greater than the greatest and is the essence of all things.
